This course is approved for 20 PDH; 2 IESNA CEUs; 20 USGBC CEs and 2 AIA LUs with Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit.
The IESNA St. Louis Section will be offering the New Updated "Fundamentals of Lighting Education Course".
The fundamentals of Lighting Course is an introductory course covering the basic and most important principles of lighting. Over the three-day course, the following topics will be taught;
1. Lighting overview, history, professional metrics, photometry, calculations and practice, physics, vision, color, light and health.
2. Electric Light Sources and Auxiliary Devices
3. Daylighting
4. Luminaires
5. Controls
6. Lighting Metrics, Photometry, Calculations and Rendering
7. Codes and Standards, Economics
8. Lighting Design Process and Techniques
9. Lighting for Interiors
10. Lighting for Exteriors
The Fundamentals of Lighting Course is an entry-level program designed for individuals with little or no lighting knowledge. It covers 10 core lessons, making it ideal for beginners or those seeking a refresher on essential lighting principles.
