Session 1 - Chapters 1-4 & 9 (8 weeks)

• Session 1 Description: This 8-week accelerated course provides a structured study of Chapters 1–4 of the 2026 National Electrical Code (NEC). Students examine the foundational code requirements governing electrical installations, including general requirements, wiring and protection, wiring methods, and equipment installation standards. Emphasis is placed on developing the knowledge needed to apply the NEC's most frequently referenced provisions for the safe design, installation, and inspection of electrical systems.

Session 2 - Articles 500-900 (5 weeks)

• Date(s): Tuesdays, Nov. 10th - Nov. 17th (no class on Nov. 24th) // Dec. 1st - Dec. 15th
• Time: 6:00 - 9:00 P.M.
• Session 2 Description: This 5-week accelerated coursework provides a structured study of Chapters 5 through 9 of the 2026 edition of the National Fire Protection Association’s National Electrical Code (NEC). The course examines the specialized rules that govern electrical installations in environments where unique conditions or increased hazards are present. Emphasis is placed on the safe design, installation, and inspection of electrical systems in accordance with NEC requirements. Coursework for NEC Articles 500–810 typically focuses on the "Special" chapters of the National Electrical Code, including Hazardous Locations, Special Occupancies, Special Equipment, and Communications Systems and Chapter 9 Tables.

Important Notes:

• Attendance and successful completion of both course sessions are required to satisfy the course requirements associated with St. Louis County's educational prerequisite for individuals seeking to apply for the Master's Electrician examination. Participants must achieve a passing score of 75% or higher to successfully complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion for Licensing. Final eligibility for the examination is determined by St. Louis County, and applicants are responsible for ensuring they meet all applicable requirements.
• EBMI requires a score of 70% to receive a Certificate of Completion (not for licensing).
• EBMI will issue a Certificate of Attendance for all participants who do not receive a 70%  but attend 80% of the classes and perform all necessary coursework.

Instructor's Bio & Credentials: Tabatha Gomillia brings over 30 years of hands-on electrical and inspection experience, including service as a U.S. Navy electrician, a commercial electrician with IBEW Local 1, and Lead Electrical Inspector for Saint Louis County. Passionate about education, she founded Ask the Lady Electrical Inspector to help electrical professionals better understand and apply the National Electrical Code.
